Community Copies

Back for its encore performance, Dragon Age Annual 2026: Arcana is once again offering community copies—because some traditions are too good not to repeat, especially when they bring Thedas' finest fanworks to more warriors, mages, and rogues alike. Read on to learn more, and find out how you could claim a free digital copy of the calendar.

What are community copies?

Part of the reason we're all here is because the Dragon Age community has been a supportive and fun place to celebrate our love for this fandom. Community copies are free digital versions of the calendar, paid for by donations from other fans.

How do I donate a community copy?

When you make your purchase in this shop, you’ll have the option to add a Community Copy Donation to your cart. Sales are processed here, but fulfillment is handled through itch.io.

You can donate as little as 1€ toward the community copy pool — every 5€ donated equals one community copy. These copies will be released in batches beginning December 16, after pre-order customers receive their PDFs.

And this year’s community copy stretch goal comes with a touch of the arcane: once the Fade’s weave of generosity reaches 10 donated community copies, a new boon will be unlocked. Every physical calendar package will be blessed with a free “The Fanworks” tarot‑card‑inspired die‑cut sticker — a design that pays tribute to both Dragon Age fanworks and this year’s Arcana theme. Think of it as a card that might sit between The Magician and The World, celebrating the makers, scribes, artists, and dreamers who keep Thedas alive in our hearts.

How do I claim a community copy?

Outside of special promotions and giveaways, available community copies will be released in batches as donation thresholds are met. They will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Note: Community Copies are intended to make DAA accessible to fans who might not otherwise get to see these amazing works. If you can afford to purchase a package, we ask that you leave the community copies for those who are not in a position to do so!

What do I need to claim a community copy?

You’ll need a free itch.io account to claim a copy. Community copies are first-come, first-served — once they’re gone, they’re gone until more are added. We don’t ask for proof of need; if you feel you’d benefit from one, please take it.
