What is itch.io and why are we using it?

Itch.io is primarily a games & digital downloads platform which allows purchasers to retain access to a copy of their files indefinitely. So long as your itch.io account remains open and the site still exists, you will be able to download your copy of Dragon Age Annual whenever you wish. We use itch.io because it's reliable, easy to use, and lets us deliver your digital files in a way that keeps them safe in your library for years to come.

What happens if I buy multiple copies?

This year, you will receive a unique itch.io key for every digital project you purchase. You must have an itch.io account to claim it, and you may only claim one key per itch.io account.

We ask that people don't resell extra keys—but you're welcome to give them away or share them with friends, guildmates, or fellow Wardens. Please pay close attention to what digital files each key grants access to before you claim it. For example: if you purchase one key that only includes the calendar, and another that includes the calendar plus the bonus PDF‑only zine, we cannot upgrade the first key later to include the zine. Choose wisely, as if you were selecting dialogue from a wheel whose tone indicators don't match the actual tone of the protagonist's lines.

How does digital fulfillment work?

Hosted on itch.io: All PDFs are delivered through itch.io. Fulfillment is via an itch.io key sent by email after purchase. An itch.io account is required to claim and download your copy.

1. Pre‑order your desired purchases here in our shop.
2. Watch your email for your itch.io key starting December 16.
3. Redeem the key on itch.io (log in or create an account).
4. Download the PDFs from your itch.io library and enjoy your journey through the Arcana and Divinations.

When will I get my key?

We will begin sending keys on December 16, after pre‑orders are processed. Because our email distribution is handled via Gmail mail merge — which has a daily sending limit — it may take several days for all keys to be delivered. Keep an eye on the email address you used at checkout during this period. If you don't see your key after a few days, check your spam or promotions folder, as sometimes even the most important missives get lost in the Fade.

Do I need an itch.io account?

Yes. An itch.io account is required to claim your key and download your files. Once a key is claimed, it is permanently tied to that account. This ensures your files remain in your library for future downloads—even if you change devices or travel to distant lands.

Can I re‑download my files later?

Absolutely. As long as your itch.io account remains open and the site still exists, your files will be waiting for you in your library—ready to be summoned again whenever you wish.

What if I lose my key email?

If you can't find your key email, first check your spam, junk, or promotions folders—sometimes even the most important missives get misplaced. If it's still missing, contact us with your order details and we can resend your key. Please note that once a key is claimed, it's permanently tied to the itch.io account it was redeemed on, so we can't transfer it to a different account later.
